Hi Andrew,
I used to ride a lot with a trailer for 2 kids in Yass, but waiting for the 3rd to get big enough to bring along! Would be very interested in bike paths in area, as it can be quite dangerous at times sharing with cars etc. Thanks for the tip above Peter, as we are always keen to find new rides to try. I have often thought also that a rail trail along the old railway line in Yass would be a great idea. Just no time to investigate and unsure who to bring up the suggestion with in council?

G’day Andrew,

I’m a Yass resident as well and my friends and I do quite a bit of cycling around Yass.

There are a LOT of very good rides if you are prepared to ride a mixture of bitumen and gravel roads. (i.e Mountain Bike)

Go to http://www.mapmyride.com and do a search for Yass for some of the rides I have entered in this area.

If you ever wanted to start a Cycling club in Yass, I think you would get a lot of people joining.

as an update to this wonderful idea , it will only work if dogs don’t go pulling them out and leaving them half chewed around the place, or people don’t step on them and break them. So far i think we have lost all of the ones identifying the potatos. But i am sure once they are out of the ground we will know what they are – either way they will still taste great whatever they are.
